Signing in
There are three ways in, and they are all free with no password. Pick the one that suits you and use the same one each time.
The three ways to sign in
- Continue with Google or Continue with Apple. You tap once, choose your account, and you are in. There is no email to wait for, because Google and Apple have already confirmed your address.
- Email me a link. Enter your email and we send a sign-in link. Open it on the same device within fifteen minutes and it signs you in. The same link creates your account the first time.
On the sign-in screen we mark the method you used last time, so you do not have to remember.
Will Google, Apple and the email link all reach the same account?
Yes, as long as they use the same email address. If your Google account and your Noise Cancelling email are the same address, signing in with Google lands you in the same place as the email link. You do not get a second account.
The one exception is Apple's Hide My Email, explained below.
I signed in and my membership or saved reading looks missing
Almost always this means you have signed in a different way than the time before, and landed in a second account. Your membership is safe. It is just attached to the first account. To fix it yourself:
- Sign out from your account page.
- Sign back in using the method you used the very first time. If you joined with the email link, use the email link with that same address.
That returns you to your original account. If you are not sure which method you first used, or it still looks wrong, contact us with the email address you joined with and we will merge the two accounts into one for you. It takes a minute and you keep everything.
What is Apple's Hide My Email, and why does it matter?
When you use Continue with Apple, Apple offers to hide your real email and give us a private forwarding address instead, ending in privaterelay.appleid.com. Email still reaches you, but to us it looks like a different address from the one you may have joined with. That can create a separate account.
If you would like everything under one account, the simplest fix is to use the same method each time. If you have already ended up with two, contact us and we will merge them.
